Five Reasons You Should Choose to Do a First Look on Your Wedding Day
What is a First Look? A First Look is a designated time for the bride and groom to see each other completely dressed up during an intimate and private moment before the ceremony. This is more of a non-traditional spin that is quickly becoming the norm as opposed to waiting until the ceremony.
Traditional ceremonies are great, however, we highly recommend incorporating a First Look into your big day for these main reasons.
A First Look can take pressure off the groom. Many grooms share that they were so grateful that they didn't have the pressure of standing at the alter while guests were watching and waiting for their reactions.
They provide an intimate time and special anticipated moment for the bride and groom to be together. It gives you both a chance to take a deep breath and focus on the celebration that is about to happen.
They allow extra time for portraits as a couple and bridal party. It is particularly helpful for couples who opt for a late ceremony. That way, all of the work is out of the way and you can get right to the party!
A First Look actually extends a wedding day by three hours because of how many portraits we can get done during the day instead of waiting until after the ceremony!
This is just about the only alone time that couples get together on their wedding day. It gives them a private time to share feelings of how good each other looks as well as to get out the pre-ceremony jitters together.
